Plantasjan in Trongisvági

In 1924, the first trees were planted in Trongisvági as one of the earliest attempts at forestation in the Faroe Islands. Since then, the plantation has grown into a peaceful oasis where both locals and visitors can enjoy nature.

At the 100‑year jubilee in 2024, King Frederik and Queen Mary attended. They marked the day by planting a tree beside a bench engraved with their names – a symbol of both history and the future.
