How to get to the island and travel around
The ferry Smyril sails between Tórshavn and Krambatangi (right next to the Penthouse). The crossing takes about 2 hours.

It is recommended to reserve your ticket in advance.
Note: On freight departures, cargo has priority on the car deck. Space for regular cars is released only 2 hours before departure. You may queue, but space is not guaranteed.

Arrival:
The ferry arrives at Krambatangi harbour, just 1 minute from the Penthouse. You drive off the ferry and arrive immediately.
Two bus routes operate on Suðuroy, and both stop at Krambatangi (marked as Ferjulegan in the timetable). Ideal for guests without a car.
Route: Sumba – Lopra – Vágur – Porkeri – Hov – Øravík – Tvøroyri
